Rugged Design Copes with Various Mobile Environments
The Toughbook was built to provide extra protection for carrying. Incorporating a newly developed magnesium alloy cabinet and body structure, it was subjected to repeated physical verification tests, such as a pressurized vibration test and 90 or 120-cm free fall test#^, to achieve its excellent toughness and durability.

Dust- and Splash-Resistance
Seamless silicone rubber covers all body joints, preventing water drops from penetrating in all directions. You can safely use the Toughbook on outdoor sites exposed to rain, dust, and dirt.

Fan-Less Design Reduces Weight and Noise
The fan-less design radiates the heat generated by the CPU without using a fan for most models. This design reduces both the weight and operating noise of the computer, making it possible to use it comfortably in conference rooms and libraries without the annoying noise.

Battery life up to 13.5 hours* (CF-31), suitable for long operation time. Some models are equipped with dual battery slots for hot swappable battery, making 24-hour operation possible.

A Touch Panel That You Can Operate with Gloved Hands
The field mobile notebook is equipped with a touch panel that allows simple operation even with gloved hands. You can also operate the notebook computer by touching the panel with a pen and the 1100nit (CF-31) low-reflection panel lets you work even in outdoor places like constructions sites.


You can attach or detach the battery and hard disk by simply opening the cover on the side of the notebook computer without unscrewing. This lets you easily replace the battery during outdoor use or remove the hard disk for storage. The advanced TPM (Trusted Platform Module) technology gives you high level of security for data protection.
