According to the Innovation and Technology Bureau, the 2nd round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will launch HK$5 billion for “Distance Business Programme (D-Biz), in order to support enterprises to adopt innovation and IT solutions for developing remote electronic business, create new opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and turn crises into opportunities during the epidemic period, develop online takeaway catering services, mobile electronic payments, e-learning courses, online consulting, etc., and develop e-commerce. It is expected to benefit more than 3,000 companies. The maximum amount of subsidy for each programme is $100,000 (with funding for the relevant training expenses capped at 10 per cent of the IT solution cost), with a total subsidy of up to $300,000 per enterprise.
Eligibility:
All private enterprises (except listed companies, statutory bodies and NGOs funded by the Government),
are eligible to apply, with a valid Business Registration Certificate and business commenced before
1 January 2020 and have substantive business operations in the related industry at the time.
Application Period: Starting from 18 May 2020
